FG Unveils New Directives For SIM replacement
President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has released new directives for telecommunication service subscribers to replace lost, stolen, misplaced or damaged SIM cards. The Nigerian Communications Commission stated that subscribers must present their National Identification Numbers for their SIM cards to be replaced.
The National Identification Numbers will be confirmed by the National Identity Management before Mobile Network Operators replace such SIM cards.
The directives were issued in a statement jointly signed by the Director, Public Affairs, NCC, Ikechukwu Adinde; and Head, Corporate Communication, NIMC, Kayode Adegoke.
